November 2008
Oldham County Republicans Deliver Once Again
Unofficial Election
Results as of Wednesday November 05, 2008 at 07:24:24 AM EST
http://electionresults.ky.gov/KyElectWeb/
A successful get out the vote effort by Oldham County
Republicans helped to secure Senator Mitch McConnell's
reelection Tuesday. Oldham County delivered 18,744
votes to Team Mitch and out-performed several larger GOP
counties with respect to turn-out percentage. As
usual, Oldham County helped to offset the Jefferson
County Democrat vote. With about 20,500 registered
Republicans, the 18,744 votes represents about 91
percent of registered Republicans within the
county, but does not take into consideration Democrat or
Independent cross-over votes.
Oldham County Republicans recognized the stakes with
respect to a 60 or more Democrat Senate majority and did
their job on behalf of Republicans across the country.
Oldham County provided similar results for the McCain-Palin
ticket, Congressman Geoff Davis and State Representative
David Osborne, who was unopposed.
