On Sunday, October 18, 2009, the Oldham County Republican Women's Club will be hosting its Annual Fall Fundraising Dinner, with a reception beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed with a catered buffet dinner and program at 6:00 p.m.  This event will be held in the Community Center in Buckner.  Cost will be $ 30-40 per person and invitations will be mailed within 2-3 weeks.  Wade Campbell will be playing piano music for the reception and dinner.

 Special guest and featured speaker U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning is confirmed.  Senator Bunning has announced his decision to retire from the U.S. Senate at the conclusion of the current term.  This event will give his Oldham County friends and supporters an opportunity to acknowledge and express their appreciation for his consistently dependable conservative votes in both the House and Senate.

College Scholarship Established to Honor Pat Osborne

The Oldham County Republican Women's Club President Janet Harris announced that the Club, in conjunction with members of the Osborne family---Beckie Osborne Dahn, Rep. David Osborne, and Mark Osborne has created a college scholarship in memory of their mother, Patricia "Pat" Osborne.  Pat was a long time member of this Club, spent countless hours, for decades, promoting Republicanism by walking door-to-door and erecting yard signs for many candidates.  She was not only a valued member of the Women's Club, but also an asset for the Republican Party.  Anyone who would like to donate to the Pat Osborne Scholarship Fund can issue a check, payable to the Oldham County Republican Women's Club  (OCRW Club) and indicate on the check, For: "Pat Osborne Scholarship Fund.

The Oldham County Republican Women's Club held its annual fall dinner on October 12 at the community center in Buckner.

Major General (Retired) Donald Storm, the Kentucky Adjutant General under the Fletcher Administration delivered the keynote address for a crowd of over 75 GOP attendees.

General Storm provided the audience a spirited account of Kentucky's contribution to the global war on terrorism and paid tribute to our nation's armed services and veterans.

The dinner was a fundraiser for the Oldham County Republican Women's club and included a silent auction.

The Women's Club thanks all of those that contributed to the event and to those who attended.
